The Harrison Night Market in Baguio City was cited by travel search engine Skyscanner as among the ten most fascinating night markets around the world.

“Billed as one of the top attractions in Baguio City, this night market is truly a shopper’s paradise, offering a wide range of finds, including ukay-ukay clothes, footwear, bags, knock-offs, digital accessories and even kitchen ware,” Skyscanner said.

“Plus, the night market is loaded with souvenir items and luscious goodies like its strawberry taho,” Skyscanner said.

Also known as the Baguio Night Market, it has evolved into a destination for tourists. It used to be located within the premises of the Baguio Athletic Bowl but was moved to Harrison road due to the increase in the number of vendors.

According to earlier reports, the city government of Baguio is eyeing to ex- pand the night market to Perfecto street in a bid to accommodate more vendors, particularly walk-in ones.

The Baguio night market landed in the fourth spot on Skyscanner’s list of fascinating markets.

The Marrakech Night Market in Morocco bagged the top spot for its festivity and lively atmosphere.

Landing in the second and third spots were the Ratchada Night Bazaar in Bangkok, Thailand and the Yamashiro Farmers’ Market in Los Angeles in California.

Other night markets cited by Skyscanner were the Suzuki Night Market in Melbourne, Australia; the Barranco Night Market in Lima, Peru; Donghuamen night market in Beijing, China; Luang Prabang night market in Laos; Ningxia Night market in Taiwan; and the Temple Street night market in Hong Kong.
