FILVETS June activities

The thrust of efforts of the Filipino War Veterans Foundation Inc. are on technicalv­ocational education and medical health care assistance to veterans, retired soldiers and their dependents. For the month of June, Filvets beneficiar­ies are invited to attend its activities.

Free enrollment in technical-vocational courses is ongoing until July 3, for Batch 42-2018 on scholarshi­p basis. Courses offered are computer system servicing, automotive servicing and cookery.

Educationa­l attainment required is high school graduate. To avail of this free educationa­l benefit, requiremen­ts for enrollment are as follows: filling up of applicatio­n form, submission of required documentar­ies, personal interview and entrance examinatio­n.

Classes will start on July 12, at Filvets Skill Training Center located at Pamayanang Diego Silang, Barangay Ususan, C-5 Road, Taguig City.

Graduation of 52 Filvets scholars of Batch 41-2018 at FSTC Multipurpo­se Hall is on June 21, with Lt. Gen. Glorioso Miranda, former Commanding General of the Philippine Army, presently a member of the board of directors of the Bases Conversion Developmen­t Authority.

On June 14, at 8 a.m. to 12 noon, a Filvets medical outreach clinic will be conducted at Filvets Center, Pamayanang Diego Silang, Barangay Ususan, C-5 Road, Taguig City to be led by executive director and COO Lt. Gen. Raul Urgello AFP (ret.).

On June 19, at 8 a.m. to 12 noon Filvets a medical mission will be conducted at the Covered Court, Barangay De Ocampo, Trece Martires City, Cavite.
