2,000 centers ready for TESDA assessment

Almost 2,000 Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority (TESDA)-accredited centers are ready for the twoday national assessment day (NAD).

TESDA director general Guiling Mamondiong said all the agency’s regional and provincial offices are also busy preparing for the NAD.

A total of 1,753 centers and 7,083 competency assessors are available to give free assessment starting June 26 to an estimated 11,240 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates and workers.

“TESDA will assess and certify 11,240 persons for two days – 5,513 individual­s on the first day and 5,620 others on the second day,” Mamondiong said.

Among those who can avail themselves of the free assessment are industrial workers, career shifters, unemployed adults, teachers and trainers.

TESDA has allotted P11,240,000 for the two-day NAD.

They will prioritize qualificat­ion under the constructi­on sector in support of President Duterte’s Build, Build, Build program.

Walk-in applicants may get the same documents in all provincial or district offices and accredited assessment centers.

Mamodiong urged all TVET graduates and workers to avail of the two-day free assessment and certificat­ion.
