Guide to preparing bid documents

-

A revised set of bidding documents that is required by the government aligned with the new Procurement Law IRR took effect on Oct. 29, 2016. To help those in the private sector who wants to participate in the bidding transactions with the government as well as to assist public officials in understanding these changes, the Center for Global Best Practices will hold a two-day special program titled, “Best Practices Guide on How to Prepare Your Bidding Documents” to be held on June 28 and 29, 2018 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City. This program is highly recommended for heads of procuring entities, bids and awards committees (BACs) of national government agencies, local government units, GOCCs, BAC secretariat members, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and everyone who wants to participate in bidding for government projects. This program will provide participants with a better understanding of the various provisions of the new Philippine bidding documents for the procurement of goods, infrastructure projects and consulting services. Failure to successfully conclude procurement projects are normally due to faulty crafting of the TORs, requirements in the bidding documents, and the disqualification of bidders are attributable to inability to align their bidding documents to the procurement guidelines.

This special training on preparation of bidding documents will feature Marilou Reyes, who has 35 years of experience in procurement. She has conducted numerous procurement training and provided consulting services to many LGUs and various government agencies.
