Nayon mounts art exhibit on Father’s Day

-

For Father’s Day, Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) proudly showcases “Salamat, Itay,” an art exhibit of Kapampangan artists, which will run from the 17th until the end of June at NPF Clark Expo, Centennial Road, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

The exhibit, to be displayed at the replica house of Jose Rizal will feature various acrylic and oil paintings, as well as, sculptures made of fiber glass, wood, and paper mache. The entire showcase is a tribute to Filipino fathers from all walks of life for their various contributions to their families and communities.

“The collaboration between Nayong Pilipino and the local artists of Pampanga will help foster love for Filipino talent, culture, and ingenuity,” Patricia Yvette Ocampo, NPF Chairperson said.

“We want to impart to the visitors not only how beautiful the country is with our replica of scenic destinations like the Barasoain church and the precolonial village, but our culture which is family-centric,” Ocampo added.

Some of the activities on Father’s Day include on-the-spot painting and meet and greet with various artists, a photo contest that entitles free entrance for the most creative and touching photo with the father in the park. A freedom wall where park goers can dedicate messages to their fathers will also be set up.
