FOLKS in Batangas City need not travel far and wide to buy or avail of parts and services for their Suzuki vehicles as pioneer compact car distributor Suzuki Philippines (SPH) opened Suzuki Auto Batangas, the first Suzuki 3S store in the city last May 24.

Suzuki Auto Batangas is strategically located along Diversion Road in Barangay Balagtas, just a few meters from the terminus of the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway. The new dealership is the 40th 3S store in the country and the 70th Suzuki Automobile dealership nationwide. Its opening is expected to fortify Suzuki’s market footprint in Batangas Province and throughout Southern Luzon.

No other than SPH VP and GM for automobile Shuzo Hoshikura and Shaw Motorplaza Corporation president Felix Limcaoco III, principal owner of the dealership, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the opening of the new 3S store.

“Having achieved record sales growth in recent years, we are very much motivated to surpass our previous performance. We saw an opportunity to achieve that by opening another store in Batangas, which is a huge market for Suzuki because of its large population and several business establishments. With the help of Mr. Limcaoco, who had already opened two Suzuki stores in the province in recent years, we were able to build and open up this new 3s store in the city,” Hoshikura explained.

Suzuki Auto Batangas is set to provide a wide variety of services to the local market, including sales, spare parts and services. The wellattended opening ceremony gave local government officials, representatives from key financing institutions and members of the media to get a first look at the new dealership has to offer.

The new dealership is biggest Suzuki branch in the province, with 1,400 square meters of floor area. Its vehicle showroom can display all the six vehicles in Suzuki’s current lineup — the much sought-after Ciaz and Jimny, the well-loved hatchbacks Celerio and Alto, the family-friendly Ertiga, and the recently launched all-new Vitara. With all the cars on display, the showroom still has more than ample space to allow Batangueños to visit and see for themselves the cars on display.

Soon, the showroom will also display the all-new Dzire, which according the Hoshikura, will be launched in the country in the coming months. The Dzire is features the new automatedmanual transmission (AMT) called Auto Gear Shift (AGS), which allows for seamless, computer-guided manual gear shifting.

At the back of the dealership, there is a spacious garage where trained Suzuki mechanics provide a wide variety of automobile services to Suzuki unit owners including oil change, repairs, parts replacement, and vehicle checks. There are genuine Suzuki auto parts available for purchase as well for those needing replacement of certain parts in their Suzuki vehicles.

“We are happy to be in partnership with Suzuki Philippines and have only positive expectations for our 3S dealership in Batangas. Suzuki vehicles are easy to market because of their unique feature upgrades and top-ofclass quality. The growing economy of Batangas City will also help us quickly establish a following for our new dealership,” said Limcaoco, whose company has previously opened two Suzuki dealerships in the province — Suzuki Auto Lipa and a satellite dealership in Sto. Tomas.

As the company continues to expand its footprint in the country’s major economic growth centers and achieve its goal of exceeding its performance, Suzuki Philippines hopes to share the Suzuki Way of Life to more Filipinos.
