For this season, Tory Burch released a collection that zeroed in on feminine layers mixed with relaxed, yet refined silhouettes.

The American designer took the romantic route and got inspiration from the iconic Lee Radziwill. “It’s not meant to be referential at all on her style because how do you perfect a style icon? She is just such an inspiration. It’s more about her character and strength and resilience,” Burch mused.

The lineup features loose, fluid dresses with scarf hemlines that balance tomboy jackets and trim blazers. Layered outerwear like classic peacoats, blanket ponchos, sturdy parka’s and plush curly shearling jackets were present in the brand’s bohemian-inspired collection as well.

Drama is found in the details, and is seen in the eclectic mix of floral patterns set against stripes and checks. Complementing these patterns is a vibrant color palette of ivory, pale pink, red with leaf green, deep burgundy and the brand’s signature Tory Navy. Soft, relaxed fabrics — ranging from delicate lace and organza to wool and cashmere give a feminine vibe, while the top-stitch details on poplin and snap closure bring a sporty element to the collection.

“From Lee Radziwill’s effortless style to a field of carnations inspired by the drama of Pina Bausch’s Nelken… Romanticism defines the fall/winter 2018 mood,” said the designer.
