4 die in Maguindanao fire

MAGUINDANAO – Four persons died in a fire in a town in this province yesterday.

Chief Superintendent Graciano Mijares of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao police identified the fatalities as Daemus Araneta and his children, Vina, Dagul and Mujahid.

The house of the victims in Barangay Katuli in Sultan Kudarat town was among five houses destroyed in the fire which broke out at around 2 a.m.

Police said the wife of Araneta, a contract worker in the Middle East, had been informed of the incident.
