Duterte appoints former Lanao gov as NCMF head

President Duterte has appointed a former governor and Bedan as chief of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF).

Saidamen Pangarunga­n, a former governor of Lanao del Sur, was named NCMF secretary for a term of two years last July 9.

He will also serve as NCMF commission­er for a term of four years.

Like Duterte, Pangarunga­n is a graduate of San Beda College of Law.

Other new appointees are Abdulgani Macatoman, (trade undersecre­tary), Adrian Ferdinand Sugay (justice undersecre­tary), Emmeline Villar (justice undersecre­tary), Markk Perete (justice undersecre­tary), Neal Vincent Bainto (justice assistant secretary), Roberto Alabado III (tourism assistant secretary), Patricio Bernales Jr., (National Bureau of Investigat­ion director II), Charlo Collado, (deputy director of Bureau of Correction­s), Julius Hidalgo (register of deeds III of the Land Registry Authority), and Paterno Morales (director II of the National Bureau of Investigat­ion). –
