-

Smart Communications again emerged as one of the top winners of the Philippine Quill Awards, having received a total of 15 trophies in a ceremony held recently in Pasay City.

Smart’s winning programs sought to make the mobile internet experience more accessible, affordable, and meaningful to Filipinos; use technology to enhance education, disaster preparedness, health services, and customer experience; and transform the workplace to support the company’s digital pivot.

The Philippine Quill Awards is organized annually by the International Associa- tion of Business Communicators-Philippines to recognize excellence in professional communication.

Receiving Excellence Awards were the Smart School-in-a-Bag and Smart TechnoCart. These are digital learning packages donated to public schools in remote and underserved areas.

Also receiving Excellence citations were the electronic medical record system called SHINE OS+ (Secured Health Information Network and Exchange) and the Smart Communities Facebook page, which highlights how Smart contributes to nation-building through technology.

Winning Merit Awards were campaigns seeking to improve the daily lives of Filipinos through mobile internet. The #LevelUpToLTE campaign encouraged Filipinos to upgrade to Smart LTE, which is the fastest in the country.

The Smart Bro Bond Like Never Before campaign, meanwhile, showed parents how they could use mobile devices and connectivity to bond with their children.

Showing how TNT services could strengthen the bond among ‘tropas’ were the TNT Panalo Data and TNT Tropa Apps campaigns, as well as the TNT Tropa Challenge.

Also winning a Merit Award was the TNT Online Store, which makes it easier for customers to buy affordable products and services; and PLDT and Smart’s efforts to transform their workplace cultures in support of their digital pivot.
