The new Blaupunkt Chicago 600 maintains entertainm­ent in your car

THE CHICAGO 600 is a 2DIN car radio, foremost designed to give a perfect fit for Toyota car models that have a 200mm wide panel dash unit — no splicing required. It plugs right to the car’s Steering Wheel Control, allowing the user to maintain the convenienc­e of the system. For hands-free connectivi­ty, the Chicago uses standard Bluetooth capability, keeping it safe and easy for the driver to remain in touch while on the road.

The Chicago 600 has a distinct, yet uniquely arched rectangula­r design, with a 6.7-inch capacitive touch screen display. The radio includes a range of features to answer the demands of today’s multitaski­ng, techsavvy driver. A Phonelink cable connection allows viewing of a smartphone’s display on the monitor of the Chicago 600. For Android devices, it offers a two-way control that lets the user view, scroll, and type, whether on the mobile device or right on the touch screen. For iOS devices, it’s uses a one-way feature, allowing the user to navigate the smartphone, while being able to see what is happening right on the Chicago’s monitor.

The Chicago 600 is also navigation-ready. It features a GPS connection, using Google Maps that allows the driver to input a specific location. The map will then guide the driver through the chosen route.

The Chicago 600 also comprises other features, such as USB and microSD inputs, Rear View Camera via RCA, reverse gear, and handbrake. The radio also supports the connection of media players beyond the usual smartphone.
