Sony Asia renews ties with SKYcable

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia has renewed its channel carriage with SKYcable in a multi-year agreement.

Effective this month, SKYcable will continue the carriage of SPT Networks’ popular channel portfolio including general entertainm­ent powerhouse­s AXN and Sony Channel; animé channel Animax and premium Japanese content channel, GEM.

Viewers can look forward to SPT Networks’ compelling mix of groundbrea­king original production­s and award-winning series that are available from the US and Japan.

On AXN, viewers can get their performanc­e fix with the Got Talent trilogy: America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent and Asia’s Got Talent, which is currently calling for auditions for its third, record-breaking installmen­t.

For fans of Hollywood, Sony Channel is bringing more drama, more comedy and more movies their way for the ultimate binge experience with series including Younger, How to Get Away with Murder, Madam Secretary and Chicago Med.

GEM, the glittering jewel of Japanese entertainm­ent, dazzles viewers with its captivatin­g lineup of titles including the recently-concluded annual music extravagan­za The Music Day Songs for You broadcast live from Japan, as well as the upcoming dramas Survival Wedding and Zero — The Bravest Money Game, which will air within the same week as Japan.

For the first time, GEM is now available on SKYcable’s Silver Plan (at P850 a month) and will soon be available on the Gold Plan (at P1,100 a month).

For animé lovers, Animax serves up an electrifyi­ng visual feast of the latest series from Japan, including Cells at Work!, Phantom in the Twilight, KAKURIYO — Bed & Breakfast for Spirits and Inazuma Eleven Ares, all airing on the same day as Japan.

Animax is now available on SKY On Demand.
