Rep. Baby Arenas & daughter Rachel shine at SONA

The action-packed ‘prequel’ to Third State of the Nation Address (SONA) of Pres. DU30 was a far cry from the rom-com films of Joyce Bernal’s rich body of work, who was also assigned to direct the event.

The President delivered the SONA after more than an hour delay as the dramatic events unfolded right before the eyes of more than 3,000 spectators from the diplomatic community, heads of agencies, celebrities and distinguished guest. The change of leadership in the House of Representatives which elected former Pres./Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo almost overshadowed the SONA, save for the fact that Pres. DU30 also wowed the audience with his never-before-seen manner of delivery which stuck to the script, free from any adlibs or impromptu messages.

Pangasinan Third District Rep. Rose Marie ‘Baby’ Arenas and her daughter, MTRCB Chairperson Rachel Arenas (a former congresswoman herself) were visible during the event. Rep. Baby was a sight to behold in her deep emerald green terno, stunning in simplicity and quiet elegance. Also seen were former Presidents Joseph Estrada and Fidel Ramos, who led the guests at the SONA.
