How to profit from publicpriv­ate partnershi­p deals

Profit and take advantage of the government’s renewed thrusts on hybrid public-private partnershi­ps (PPP) by understand­ing the 24 different ways of structurin­g PPP + G2G transactio­ns with the government, the relevant laws, policies, and procedures. To capture the opportunit­ies and take full advantage of the new PPP projects, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a program titled, “Duterte Government’s Revised PPP Program” on Aug. 10 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyon­g City.

This one-day special training is fully packed with examples, case studies, best practices and ways to “future-proof” your PPP deals. This lecture is very relevant whether you are from the private sector doing the finance, constructi­on, developmen­t, operations and management of the PPP project or you are the public official from a national government agency, government-owned and controlled corporatio­n, or local government unit who is in-charge of PPP. This program aims to arm participan­ts with the right knowledge and skills on how to do business with the government from a national to a local level by understand­ing the PPP definition­s, its modalities, value drivers, relevant laws, policies and procedures vital to the success of your PPP arrangemen­ts.

This program will feature one of the two certified PPP specialist and certified regulation Specialist™ in the world, Atty. Alberto Agra. He drafted a proposed PPP Code / Ordinance for LGUs which to date has been adopted by 81 LGUs in the Philippine­s. He was also part of the team that developed the 2008 NEDA JV Guidelines. He has conducted over a hundred lectures on PPPs and JVs. He is also the author of the proposed PPP Ordinance: annotated and co-author of the book, Knowing PPP, BOTs & JV: A Legal Ordinance. Currently, he is chairman of the Philippine Reclamatio­n Authority and is a PPP, local government professor and political law bar reviewer at the Ateneo Law School.

Government employees attending private-sector-led training are exempted from the P2,000 limit set by COA based on DBM Circular 563 dated April 22, 2016. Interested participan­ts are encouraged to avail of the group discount for three or more registrant­s. Seats are limited and pre-registrati­on is required.
