Davines Academy graduation gala

-

It was a night of talent and creativity as 35 hairstylists from top salons all over the metro graduated and became part of the new roster of Davines Creative Stylists.

This year, The Davines Creative Style Academy graduation gala was held at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan last month.

Before making it to their spotlight moment at the graduation rites, the lucky hairstylists went through a two-month intensive training program of the Davines Creative Style Academy.

The Davines Creative Style Academy does not only offer courses to enhance the technical skills of its students, but also offers a wholistic training with the goal of uplifting the standards of the present hair industry.

Part of the training consists of personality development and presentation skills. Through this, the students were able to identify their passions as well as share inspiring personal experiences which led them to the industry. Workshops were also conducted to enhance confidence and teach them how to communicate their ideas better.

The students presented unique creations under the theme of water, air and earth as inspired by the sustainable beauty mission of Davines.

Each student was then given an international certificate of completion and declared as the new batch of Davines Creative Stylists.

Five students who garnered the highest academy grades in cut, color and presentation skills were also recognized. They are Louie Cruz of Jesi Mendez Robinsons Galleria, Kezia Sumbillo of South Salon, Marivic Peña of South Salon, Jhay Sorela of Salon de Matt Makati and Ariel Apolto of David’s Salon Marquee Mall. They will have a chance to vie for a slot to represent the country in the prestigious Davines World Wide Hair Tour 2019 which will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland.
