Kyline marks birthday with solo concert

Alcantara (photo) celebrates her 16th birthday with her first major concert dubbed as Kyline TAKE FL16HT at the SM Skydome on Sept. 8.

The Kapuso performer is also set to launch her single Fake Love on the same day, under her self-titled debut album from GMA Records. With six songs and minusone versions, the album will be released on Sept. 18 via iTunes, Spotify and over 180 digital stores. Pre-selling of Fake Love on iTunes begins on Sept. 1 while pre-selling for Kyline the album starts on Sept. 8.

Kyline thanked her fans, whom she calls her “Sunflowers,” for their unwavering support. “Sobrang happy and overwhelming at the same time kasi isang pangarap lang ito dati. Pinagdasal ko talaga ito kay God. Para ito sa mga Sunflowers ko kasi sila naman talaga ang dahilan kung bakit unti-unti kong nakakamit ang mga pangarap ko. This is my humble way of showing gratitude to (them),” she said.

Kyline, who is turning 16 on Sept. 3, is most notable for her performance in the hit GMA primetime series Kambal, Karibal. Concert guests are Derrick Monasterio, Jeric Gonzales, Migo Adecer, James Wright and Kristoffer Martin.
