Bong Go congratula­tes School-On-Air graduates

Special Assistant to the President Christophe­r Lawrence “Bong” Go has expressed optimism that poultry School-On-Air program graduates can use their acquired skills and knowledge as he attended the graduation ceremony held at the Felis Resort Complex Davao City last Aug. 24.

Go noted that graduates have gained necessary knowledge to help them thrive in poultry farming. This includes processing, raising, breeding and utilizing various farm-to-market techniques, which will it give them huge opportunit­ies to earn income as well as help consumers gain access to affordable poultry products contributi­ng to the country’s food security.

He assured the graduates that President Duterte continues to give them full support as his administra­tion has allotted some P120 billion for the Department of Agricultur­e.

Go also said the Mindanao Railway Transit can also vastly improve their income as it will allow them to fast-track the delivery of products to the market.

He also vowed to extend more assistance to the farmers as he urged them to voice out their concern so that he and the President can find ways to address issues.

After his speech, Go also handed over P1.5-million startup funds on poultry production intended for the farmers after he sought assistance from Agricultur­e Secretary Manny Piñol.

He then promised that five members of every district of Region 11 can avail of a free tour at Malacañang.

At least 507 participan­ts graduated from the said program in Region 11 alone.
