Raids yield P700-K shabu, nab 15 drug suspects
An estimated P700,000 worth of shabu was seized during simultaneous raids at two “one-stop shop” drug dens in Quezon City Tuesday evening.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Quezon City Police District arrested 15 drug suspects and confiscated a total of 262 sachets of shabu during the operations.
Ten drug suspects were arrested during the implementation of the search warrant at a house along Griego Alley in Barangay San Martin de Porres.
They were identified as Mark Anthony Bigayan, 36; Caroline Peralta, 34; Michael Porio, 31; Anne Clemente, 37; Nadrew Espena, 37; Lorenzo Bigayan, 51; Norberto Porio, 59; Marilyn David, 40; Girlie Bigayan, 38; and Wilma Andaya, 42.
Four other suspects named in the search warrant, who are supposedly the owner and maintainer of the drug den, were able to evade arrest.
Cubao police station commander Superintendent Giovanni Hycenth Caliao said the house was being used as for buying and using shabu in one area.
A total of 154 sachets of shabu in different sizes were seized inside the drug den.
Meanwhile, the impelementation of the second search warrant led to the arrest of five more drug suspects, identified as Arlene Bigayan-Aguilar, 40; Francisco Aguilar, 37; Parolito Malabanan, 37; Arjay Santos, 30; and Julie Joy Gogulin, 22.
