2018 Mr. & Miss Chinatown winners named
Marie Chrislyn Que, 23, and Moises Cleon Limyuen (center) were 2018 Mr. and Miss Chinatown, beating 13 other Chinoys. They each took home P200,000 cash prize and sponsors’ gifts. Que of Butuan City will compete in the 2019 Miss Chinese International early next year, venue still to be announced.
Their runners-up were (left) Carly Chua and Brian Christopher Gocheco, second; and (right) Martin Leonard Chua and Sabrina Ng, first.
Special award winners: Mr. and Miss Photogenic (Martin Chua and Patricia Tan); Mr. and Miss Congeniality (Robert Tanchip and Ng); Best in Talent (Frances Que and Martin Chua); Best in Cultural Costume (Jason Dy Tan and Chinzen Viernes); Best in Formal Wear (Gocheco and Ng); and Best in Swimwear (Gocheco and Que).
Corporate awardees: Mr. and Miss Philippine Airlines (Matthan Yu and Carly Chua); Mr. and Miss BDO (Jason Tan and Mikel Villamora); Mr. and Miss Gibi Shoes (Martin Chua and Carly Chua); Mr. and Miss Tak Chun (Gocheco and Shiela Mae Tan); Mr. and Miss Pyoor (Jason Tan and Que); and Mr. and Miss West Ave (Tanchip and Rachel Tan).
2015 Miss Earth Angelia Ong was among the judges. Hosted by Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho with Janeena Chan and Willord Chua as co-hosts, the pageant will be aired on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best tomorrow night (Sept. 9).
The annual pageant is presented by the Miss Chinatown Foundation, Chinoy TV along with Tak Chun Group, and co-presented by the Federation of FilipinoChinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc.
