Highlands Cup to benefit Sisters of Mary

The Highlands Ladies Cup will feature not only an 18-hole fun-filled competitio­n but also focus on the organizing Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter’s social commitment with proceeds of the 13th staging of the Sept. 29 event benefittin­g the Sisters of Mary boys and girls town complex in Silang, Cavite.

The THLC has been assisting the Sisters of Mary, with the mission of education for employment, for the past decade as part of its social commitment to help the underprivi­leged youth fulfill their dreams by way of allotting part of the proceeds of the annual event for the center.

Another full-packed roster braces for a friendly but competitiv­e tournament backed by Auto Nation Group, Inc., Pacific Online and W Group as Diamond sponsors. It will be played under the System 36 scoring format with big prizes at stake in various categories and in the raffle draw during awards rites.

Three huge prizes will also be staked for hole-in-one feats, including a Royal Caribbean Internatio­nal cruise for two on No. 17 and the Kuala Lumpur and Coron trips on Nos. 3 and 6, respective­ly.

In case no one scores an ace, all prizes will be raffled off.

Powerball Gaming, San Miguel Corp. and Security Bank make up the Platinum sponsors list, Kaiser Health Group, Lucerne and Royal Caribbean Int’l are the event’s Gold backers while ComWorks Inc., HBC, New Golden City Builders, PLDT-SME, Regent Travel Corp. and SM Retail are Silver sponsors.
