CSC to hold 2-day job fair
Have you been planning on working in government but have no idea how, where, and when to apply for a job as a public servant?
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has decided to make it easier for you as it will be holding a government job fair on Sept. 26 and 27 at the SM City North EDSA Skydome, Quezon City.
As part of the activities of the 118th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this month, the agency said it hopes to bring the job opportunities closer to those seeking employment in government service.
Participating agencies include the CSC itself; Department of Labor and Employment, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and Department of Education.
Also offering jobs are the Food and Drug Administration; Land Transportation Office; National Kidney and Transplant Institute; Parole and Probation Administration; Philippine National Police NCRPO; Philippine State College of Aeronautics; and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, among others.
The CSC said the list of vacancies will be posted in its website at erpo.csc.gov.ph/publication/public and can be also accessed using the QR code to be provided by the CSC. Applicants seeking government employment must prepare and bring a fully-accomplished personal data sheet, which can be downloaded at https://goo.gl/zwKG8F, with recent passport-sized picture with name and signature, resume/curriculum vitae; a performance rating in the present position for one year, if applicable; a photocopy of the certification of eligibility/ rating/license; and a photocopy of transcript of records.
The CSC reminded that applicants must come in a casual attire as wearing of slippers and shorts are not allowed with registration starting at 8 a.m.
Further, the CSC clarifies that the application process during the job fair only covers submission of requirements and initial assessment.
The next level of selection process, which includes shortlisting of qualified applicants and conducting written examinations and/or interviews, will be conducted by participating agencies after the job fair.
CSC chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala encouraged applications from qualified persons with disabilities, members of indigenous communities, and those from any sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression.
All CSC regional offices except the ARMM and Caraga will also conduct job fairs in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
