-

Global building solutions leader Cemex Holdings Philippines recently conferred the Top Award in Communication Management to the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) for their entry, “Project Litratu: Mayhang Pamana Bilang nga Mayhang Pilipinu (Isang Pamana Bilang Isang Pilipino)” during the prestigious 6th Philippine Student Quill Awards that was recently held at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.

Themed “Purpose in Communication,” the 6th Philippine Student Quill Awards reframes the role that communicators play in this dynamic age which should be centred on enlightening, informing, and inspiring people to think and take action toward excellence.

“Supporting the Philippine Student Quill Awards is concurrent with our commitment to help build the future for the next leaders and change makers in the country – which is our youth. Students of the BPSU showed an impressive and clear communication strategy with their ‘Project Litratu’,” said Chito Maniago, corporate communications and public affairs director of cemex Philippines.

The 6th Philippine Student Quill Awards is the counterpart of the 16th Philippine Quill Awards which are given by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines to noteworthy companies and agencies in recognition of innovative thinking, best practices, in-depth learning, and career guidance.

The Philippines is the very first chapter of IABC outside of North America. IABC is a San Franciscobased professional network and global membership association with thousands of members from around the world, and representing many Global Fortune 500 companies.

IABC serves professionals in the field of business communication by bringing together the profession’s collective disciplines.
