Pacsafe’s fall/winter 2018 collection includes bags made with recycled fishing nets.

Australian travelers Magnus McGlashan and Rob Schlipper founded travel and antitheft gear brand Pacsafe in 1998 to address those worries. The brand has always been inspired by the sea turtle, which quietly travels the globe with its home on its back.
As a way to sort of pay back the gentle ocean dwellers, Pacsafe is celebrating their 20th anniversary with two new bags from their fall/winter 2018 collection.
The Travelsafe 3L Econyl portable safe is lockable and can be anchored to any immovable object (perfect for storing all your travel docs while you’re on the go), while the Vibe 28L Econyl anti-theft backpack has compartments to keep your laptop and other essentials secure (for those who are into that work-vacay balance). Both are made using Econyl, a fiber made of fishing nets and other discarded nylons.
And if it isn’t clear that Magnus and Rob are passionate about ocean wellbeing, 100percent of the profits from both bags go to the Pacsafe Turtle Fund, a fund they created to support turtle rescue projects around the world.
