Korea winter travel fair opens today in Makati

The Korea Tourism Organizati­on (KTO), in cooperatio­n with Gyeonggi Tourism Organizati­on and Gangwon provincial government, will showcase the best of Korea’s winter season in a threeday event, “All That Winter: Korea Travel Fair 2018” from Sept. 14 to 16.

Korean Air, Jeju Air, Philippine Airlines, Air Asia and Cebu Pacific Air will release special fares for on-site visitors who will purchase plane tickets to Korea. There will also be several partner travel agencies who will offer travel packages to Korean destinatio­ns.

As a bonus, BPI credit cardholder­s may enjoy 0 percent installmen­t rate for up to 3 months for purchases made from selected agencies. Visitors who will purchase on-the-spot from any of the airline or travel agency booths in the fair will receive special gifts.

Live musical and dance performanc­es will be held at the activity center’s central stage. Headlining the list of performers is the all-male KPop group, The King. Gangwon province’s honorary ambas- Ryan Bang and the honorary ambassador for Korea tourism Sue Ramirez will also perform.

Special segments about K-Food, KBeauty and K-Wave will complete the two-day program.

Gangwon-do is a province located in the mid-eastern part of the Korean Peninsula. Gangwon-do hosted the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChan­g, Gangbe neung and Jeongson in February 2018.
