“McDonald’s loves customers like you and they’re committed to diversity and want to represent their customers,” DeGeneres told the visibly surprised Maravilla and Toledo.

“They’re going to use the two of you in a marketing campaign,” she said, adding that

Maravilla and Toledo, along with their group of friends, recently posted details of the prank they did at the local McDonald’s branch.

“I noticed there was a blank wall at McDonald’s so I decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend. It’s now been 51 days since I hung it up,” Maravilla said in a tweet posted on Sept. 2.

The post has since been liked over a million times and was retweeted by over 250,000 people.

A follow-up video showed how the group managed to hang the photo without the employees noticing, including getting a crew uniform and printing a fake badge.
