Go guest at Zubakery launch in Subic

Secretary Christophe­r Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President was guest of honor and speaker during the launch of the Zubakery Cafe Catering Division at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo, Bataan on Sept. 19.

Go led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In his speech Go congratula­ted Zubakery Cafe for the expansion of their operations, which also shows their desire to contribute to the vibrancy of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and its communitie­s.

He also noted that the event is a testament to the effects of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s intensifie­d campaign to improve the peace and order situation in the country, which is becoming more conducive to the opening and expansion of businesses.

He also emphasized the importance of the socio-economic programs that the President has implemente­d in giving greater purchasing power for the consuming public and investing confidence among businessme­n.

He also thanked the local government officials in attendance whom he lauded for their support and for sharing the same commitment in serving the public.

Go then committed to put up a Malasakit Center which will cater to the medical needs of indigent patients in Zambales and neighborin­g communitie­s. The Malasakit Center would fast track the delivery of services from various government agencies including the Department­s of Health, Social Welfare and Developmen­t, Philippine Charity Sweepstake­s Office and other offices.

He concluded his speech by assuring that he and the President will continue to work hard in ensuring the safety and security of Filipinos and businesses in the country.
