PayMaya expands ‘Add Money’ partners

PLDT digital innovation­s arm Voyager Innovation­s Inc. has made it easier for PayMaya account holders to add funds to their digital wallet with an expanded “Add Money” channels.

Mobile money and digital payments pioneer PayMaya Philippine­s Inc. said account holders can now experience even more convenient ways of adding money to their digital wallet with the help of the new Add Money channels through banks, convenienc­e stores, pawnshops, kiosks and via online banking through Instapay.

“We’ve made more Add Money channels available so it will be more convenient for our customers to put funds in their PayMaya accounts anytime, wherever they are,” PayMaya COO and managing director Paolo Azzola said.

PayMaya users can use the Add Money option through its new partners including Circle K and RD Pawnshop outlets, and iBayad, Pay&Go, and eTap kiosks nationwide.

Users can also readily transfer funds up to P50,000 from their bank account and receive it in their PayMaya account real time using Instapay.

The service is initially available for account holders of Metrobank, Security Bank, PSBank, Unionbank, PBCOM, Asia United Bank, PNB, Chinabank, Maybank, Equicom, EastWest Bank, and RCBC.

InstaPay, an initiative led by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, targets to improve the rate of digital transactio­ns in the country from the current one percent to 20 percent by 2020.

“With this developmen­t, PayMaya account holders can easily complete their online payments experience and enjoy the perks of cashless transactio­ns including bills payment, load purchase, online shopping, flights and accommodat­ion bookings, among others,” the company said.
