Insular Life announces key promotions

Insular Life recently announced the following executive promotions: Arnaldo Aquino, Ma. Carmela Francisco, and Gwendolyn Kelley to the rank of vice president; and lawyers Analyn Benito and Ma. Rowena Rodriguez, along with Henry Balangatan II to the rank of senior assistant vice president.

Aquino heads the company’s Territory 3 which is made up of the entire Visayas and Mindanao sales districts and general agencies, and has been instrument­al for the consistent productive performanc­e of the Visayas region amidst stiff competitio­n. He is an AB Psychology graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University.

Francisco heads the company’s bancassura­nce sales developmen­t. She supervises the Bancassura­nce Operations Group’s talent acquisitio­n and people operations, as well as the group’s training team. She is a BA History graduate of the University of the Philippine­s.

Kelley heads the Business Process Management Division which leads the integratio­n and delivery of efficient and cost-effective business processes and automated solutions in alignment with the digital transforma­tion journey of the company. She is a BS Accountanc­y graduate of the Miriam College Foundation, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Project Management Profession­al.

Benito heads the company’s governance and compliance unit which ensures Insular Life’s compliance with regulatory requiremen­ts and the principles of good corporate governance. She is a BA European Languages graduate of the University of the Philippine­s, and a Bachelor of Laws graduate of the Arellano Law Foundation.

Rodriguez heads the company’s legal team, providing guidance and oversight to in-house corporate lawyers in delivering internal legal services, as well as litigation of various Insular Life cases. She is a BA Political Science and Bachelor of Laws graduate of the University of the Philippine­s.

Balangatan heads Territory 1, which is made up of North and Central Luzon districts and general agencies, including the north east, north west, west central, and east central regional offices. He has been instrument­al for delivering sales targets despite numerous challenges in the industry. He is an AB Economics graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University.
