West Elm opens its second store at Central Square

-

Brooklyn-born furniture and home decor retailer West Elm recently opened its newest store at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street four years after opening its first Philippine location at Estancia in Capitol Commons in 2014.

To mark the occasion, SSI Group Inc. president Anton Huang led the toast wth Rustan Commercial Corporation board member Maritess Tantoco-Enriquez, and West Elm global visual merchandiser Isaias Caballero.

Taking its cue from the brand’s mission to enrich lives by harnessing the power of design and human connections, the new West Elm Central Square store features the collection’s aesthetic pillars: Manhattan living inspired by a modern look; “organic architecture” inspired by the idea of clean, pure lines and colors; and Italy’s mid-century bohemian luxe vibe inspired by a global theme. The store is also highly Instagrammable.

Designed to make an impact in everyday life, West Elm pieces are meticulously made to speak to people’s every life stage, decorating taste and budget. Fall’s modern, streamlined style, retro accents, textures, rich fabrics, prints and bright pops of color will elevate your home’s style.

For the living room, there’s the Rosanna media console in yellow lacquer or the Phoebe chair in pop art jacquard upholstery, or the Crescent swivel chair in teal. If sleek, sexy leather is your thing, go with the gray leather Sloane sofa.

Velvet has always been synonymous with opulence and luxury. Choose from Carlo mid-century chair in olive, Roar + Rabbit swivel chair in blush pink, or the Paidge sofa in ink blue; and incorporate the lush velvet chinoiserie pillow or the pressed velvet pillow cover available in shades of stone, midnight, and copper.

Layer on your personality and style with decorative accents like metal-spun planters, chic trays, modern bar carts, and colorful woven rugs like the reversible Cecil flatweave rug with abstract pattern and the Alloy and Mineral rugs in soft tones; and lush colorful throw pillows.

For the bedroom, the Andes Deco upholstered bed, which is designed with clean lines and fully upholstered on all sides, has metal legs that instantly add a hint of glam; while the Stella bed in brass has a gently curving headboard with spindles and tall, tapering legs adding to the polished look.

West Elm also partnered with celebrity and artist Heart Evangelista-Escudero to have one of her artworks featured on specialedition tote bags that were given out to guests at the event. The bag will also be available for sale after the store launch. Proceeds of the sale will go to Heart’s charity, St. Luke’s Corridor of Hope.

In the Philippines, West Elm is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. and is located at Bonifacio High Street Central and Estancia at Capitol Commons. Follow @westelmPH and @ssilifeph on Instagram for more information.
