DMCI Homes expands footprint in Davao

- By IRIS GONZALES

DMCI Homes, the residential arm of listed engineering and construction conglomerate DMCI Holdings Inc., is expanding its footprint in Davao.

Alfredo Austria, DMCI Homes president, said plans are underway for the company’s second project in the province following the success of its Verdon Parc residential condominium development.

“There is a healthy demand for residential condos in urban areas outside Metro Manila including Davao. We hope to help address that demand by designing and building homes that best fit the lifestyle and budget of our primary market which are start-up families,” Austria said.

Verdon Parc, located in Davao City, is now in full swing following the launch of the project’s fourth and final building early this year.

Belvedere, the second building of the Verdon Parc resort-inspired development, has already reached its full height of 20 residential levels in October, putting it on track to meet its March 2020 target occupancy date.

The company also successively launched the third and fourth buildings, Trevans and Maurin this year following the strong sales of the first two buildings, Martel and Belvedere.

Martel, the only mid-rise building of the four-building development, was turned over to unit owners in January 2017.

Belvedere, Trevans and Maurin are all 20-story buildings with a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units ideal for start-up families and young professionals.

The units with a gross floor area ranging from 28 to 56.5 square meters are reasonably priced at P2.9 million onwards.

The roof-deck of the three towers, meanwhile, provides a view of Davao City that includes the Samal Island and Mt. Apo.

Amenities include a kiddie pool, lap pool, gazebo, fitness gym, open lawn, entertainment room, children’s play area, podium deck area and other leisure zones.

DMCI Homes’ initial foray into the Mindanao property market was already 61 percent sold as of Oct. 4, with reservation sales amounting to P4.55 billion.

The company also has projects in Mega Manila, Baguio City, Boracay and Davao City.

Backed with over 60 years of expertise in the construction and development industry, DMCI Homes seeks to continuously provide quality homes at best value on or ahead of time.
