Foton highlights Euro 4-compliant portfolio
FOTON PHILIPPINES rolls out its full lineup of passenger vehicles plus light- and heavy-duty trucks — all of which are Euro 4-compliant — at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
On display at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City are the Gratour IM6 and the Gratour TM minivan, the Tornado M5.2C light-duty truck, the EST-400 4x2 tractor head, GTL 6x4 mixer truck, Hurricane ESTM 6x2 cargo, and GTL 8x4 high roof dump truck. Meanwhile, the Foton EST430 6x4 tractor head, Tornado M4.2C F-Van, two units of the Foton Jeepney, TransVan HR, Toplander 4x2 Automatic SUV, and the Toano Limousine will also be showcased in the indoor display area.
Aside from the vehicle exhibit, Foton will also feature an after-sales booth highlighting company’s program called EC Genuine Parts. Under the brand’s Blue Energy nameplate, new engines have been designed and built by Columbus, Indiana-based diesel power plant expert Cummins. In 2006, the iconic engine manufacturer signed an agreement with Foton to form the Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. (BFCEC), whose highly advanced plant in China makes more than 400,000 units a year.
“Foton is always committed to provide exceptional product lines through scientific and technological innovations, and Blue Energy is the continued expression of this promise,” said Foton Motor Philippines president Rommel Sytin during the past launch of the Blue Energy Euro 4 power plants. “(It is) a product of earnest R&D that serves up a host of benefits such as power, durability, reliability, excellent efficiency, and clean operation.”
Foton has been in the Philippines for 12 years, and it continues to espouse “faster, cleaner, safer, and more efficient avenue of transportation… elements (that) empower the brand’s future mobility with vehicles built for the Filipinos, and designed for the environment.”
At the PIMS, visitors are extended big discounts through the “Buy Now, Pay Next Year” promo, all-in low down payment schemes, and low monthly amortization plans.
