Autohub holds MiNi Festival in BgC
Over the previous weekend, the Autohub Group’s British United Automobile, Inc., the exclusive distributor of MINI Cooper vehicles in the Philippines, held the 2018 MINI Festival at the Bonifacio High Street Central Ampitheater in BGC. The event ran from Oct. 18 to 21 and was open to the public from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
At the festival, they showcased a parade of classic MINIs alongside four modern MINI variants, while highlighting the legend that is the limited edition MINI Monte Carlo.
The highly coveted model celebrates MINI’s fascinating racing heritage that began in the 1960s. If you will remember, the original MINI Cooper and Cooper S were hugely successful in motorsport, bagging momentous firstplace wins at the famous Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, 1965 and 1967.
Today, MINI presents a modern version of the iconic MINI of Monte Carlo Rally fame. It is based on the current MINI Cooper S three-door, and comes in chili red with a white roof and unique badges and stripes on the side.
Needless to say, the MINI Monte Carlo Limited Edition model comes with the same fun, sharp handling and iconic styling that is distinctly MINI. It is equipped with a seven-speed Steptronic automatic transmission that promises even smoother, fast shifting mated with MINI’s traditionally peppy and responsive Cooper S engine.
Wanna hear an added treat? MINI offered an exclusive plant tour to the brand’s assembly grounds in Oxford, UK to its car buyers at the festival! An enticing and truly immersive bonus for its patrons.
For MINI owners and enthusiasts, the festival also
showcased a spectacle of official MINI accessories well-suited to customize current models. There were also displays of bespoke crafts from MINI’s local artisan partners at the MINI marketplace, for the whole family to enjoy browsing through.
The big surprise: The sale of this MINI Monte Carlo Edition will be exclusive to the Philippines! There are 20 units up for grabs, and they’ll only be for sale starting on Nov. 11.
