FilipinaZ rising

- multiple choice LUIS ESPIRITU, JR.

Women empowerment in the 21st century has progressively changed countless of lives. Women’s rights have been celebrated in endless ways. These rights have become women’s source of strength to live in a challenging world that celebrates their lifestyle.

In the Philippines, the modern Filipina is an empowering force that’s strong, multi-faceted, tenacious and artistic. She creates a positive and lasting change in a community, society, nation and even the world.

These characteristics of the Filipina are highlighted even more as the Zonta Club of Makati & Environs relaunches FilipinaZ, a brand that aims to build a community that recognizes leading women’s work on various design-driven industries. Its current campaign “I am for the Filipina, I am FilipinaZ” was created in honor of the Filipina to make her voice louder through a supportive landscape of men and women coming together to learn and propagate the essence of what it truly means to be a woman today.

This campaign will hold its FilipinaZ Art, Fashion and Jewelry Fair on Nov. 9 to 11, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the 21st floor of 8 Rockwell on Hidalgo Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati City. Now on its sixth run, the one-of-a-kind curated shopping and design experience will showcase some of the finest in art, fashion and jewelry with over 60 exhibitors. This community gathering celebrates women, supports a visionary cause and involves the participation of artists from different industries.

The list of exhibitors include Rhett Eala, Arnel Papa, Zarah Juan, Amarie, Joanique, Ivarluski Aseron, Lustico, Jor El Espina, Adnte by Adante Layesa, Carlo Evaristo, Eccentrics, Two Chic, Lara, Cole Vintage, Ottoman Collection, Coterie Manille, Kathy and Kathy Bespoke, among others.

A highlight of the event will be an exhibition of National Artist Ramon Valera’s memorabilia and contemporary pieces by Valera’s relatives.

Multiple Choice supports FilipinaZ in its efforts to celebrate women. We are proud to visually present some of the most celebrated fashion and style pieces to be showcased in the event. Today’s Filipina is a woman of style and substance, an iconic inspiration to many and a modern-day heroine.
