Southeast Asia’s biggest e-commerce portal Lazada is expanding to more locations to serve orders faster as demand for effortless shopping continues to rise in the country.

The e-commerce giant is targeting to offer its premium service, or same-day/nextday delivery, in more parts of Greater Manila Area such as Manila, Mandaluyong, Marikina, San Juan, Pateros and Caloocan, as well as in Batangas, by middle of 2019.

“The expansion of our ecosystem of strategically located warehouses and logistics partners has paved the way for Lazada to offer premium service in more locations,” Lazada Philippines chief executive officer Juan Pavez Spencer said.

Lazada currently operates three warehouses located in Cabuyao, Laguna; Mandaue City, Cebu and Davao City.

“We will continue to explore opportunities to expand our operations in order to bring our fulfillment services within the reach of more Filipinos and make their online shopping experience even better,” Spencer said.

Premium service was previously only available to shoppers in select cities in Metro Manila, Laguna and Cavite.

The service is now available in Metro Cebu and Davao City, two of the country’s largest retail hubs outside of Metro Manila.

With its planned expansion, Lazada said more online shoppers would be able to choose premium service for all items sold and fulfilled over standard shipping, which takes at least two days.

Premium service is also offered on top of the guaranteed next-day delivery for items bought from LazMall, which features over 70 million original products from almost a thousand brands. Lazada said it would soon include Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, JBL, Philips, Mac, L’Oreal, Dove, Olay, Levi’s and many more among its product portfolio.

Launched in 2012, Lazada is the largest online shopping and selling destination in Southeast Asia, as it is currently present in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Lazada offers a wide range of products in categories from beauty, fashion, and electronics to household goods, toys, sports equipment and groceries.
