• Bria Holdings up 79% in Jan to Sept

- By IRIS GONZALES

Golden Bria Holdings Inc. grew its net income 79 percent to P915 million in the nine months to September.

Bria is the holding company for the family of Manny Villar’s mass housing and integrated deathcare businesses.

The increase was driven by strong sales revenues from both memorial lots and residential units.

Consolidated real estate sales grew 59 percent to P3.93 billion.

Golden Bria’s deathcare business Golden Haven, meanwhile, registered P27.2 million in sales, more than three times the amount recorded last year.

Villar said the company is on track to achieving its goal of being present in every hometown in the country.

“As we work toward becoming the country’s largest mass market housing developer in Bria Homes, and the biggest integrated deathcare company in Golden Haven, we will continue to open more projects in new areas around the Philippines from our over 60 locations to date,” Villar said.

Total assets stood at P18.2 billion as of Sept. 30, 37 percent higher than the previous year.

To date, Golden Bria has a combined holdings of over 750 hectares of property all over the country, with more than 150 hectares allotted for deathcare projects and around 600 hectares allocated for mass market housing developments.

Subsidiary Bria Homes has more than 40 residential developments, while Golden Haven has 26 memorial park projects nationwide.
