Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMPC) will start selling the all-new flagship sedan Camry tomorrow, in time for the holiday season.

In a statement yesterday, TMPC said the full model change of the Camry would be available at all its 69 dealerships in the country.

“Masterfully crafted under the tenets of Toyota’s New Global Architecture, the allnew Camry exudes extraordinary from all vantage points imaginable: an overhauled exterior geared towards ‘sensual-smart confidence’, an ergonomic interior which prioritizes both driver and passenger comfort, and an unmatched array of performance and safety features,” TMPC said.

The new Camry offers a smooth driving experience through its fuel-efficient 2.5 liter dual VVT-i engine.

In addition, the Camry’s six-speed automatic transmission through the Drive Mode Select allows the driver to choose between sport and eco modes.

The new vehicle likewise assists the driver in higher speeds through the highly responsive upshift control and blipping downshift control, which allow fast shifting without reducing engine braking and lowering shock.

Available in three colors (platinum white pearl, attitude black mica, and thermalyte), the new Camry has a price range of P1.806 million up to P2.007 million.

Customers can also opt to purchase the new Camry in other colors such as red mica, phantom brown metallic, graphite metallic and burning black crystal shine glass flake on special order.

TMPC is the top automotive brand in the country.

As of end-October, TMPC sold 124,329 units, down 16.7 percent from 149,333 units last year.

Last year, the company sold a total of 184,000 units.

While the company expects a 10 percent drop in sales this year from last year as higher excise taxes weakened demand for cars, TMPC president Satoru Suzuki has said sales are seen to post singledigit growth next year.
