PNB Savings Bank opens first fully digital branch
The thrift bank arm of Philippine National Bank (PNB) has opened its first fully digital branch at the ground floor of Eton Square Ortigas in San Juan City to provide clients with an interactive digital banking experience.
The new branch of PNB Savings Bank is equipped with smart digital technologies including interactive touch screens, self-service kiosks, tablets, full-function automated teller machines (ATMs), chatbot, telemedicine kiosk, fun virtual games that simplify banking transactions.
“True to our promise of putting our customers first, we deliver nothing less than innovations that empower them. We will continue to offer solutions that connect you to your dreams and make everything more accessible to you,” PNB president Wick Veloso said.
Unlike traditional bank branches, the digital hub has no bank tellers and promotes paperless transactions as everything is carried out through selfservice facilities.
Well-trained and courteous univer- sal officers are on-site to help clients get acquainted and comfortable with the digital facilities and to provide financial advice to clients for the best financial solutions and services.
PNB Savings Bank president Jovencio Hernandez said the fully digital branch is much more than just a showcase of the new digital technologies in banking.
“It is an actual channel that efficiently connects you to new opportunities. It is a testament to the bank’s commitment to transform the customer experience and carry out innovations that are responsive to the real needs of the Filipino people,” Hernandez said.
Opening an account and applying for a loan are also simplified with the available customer on-boarding tablets in the branch. It will only take a few simple steps to complete the process.
Self-service kiosks are also available for clients to do their internet banking transactions or use its educational feature to interact with its chatbot named AIko.
