Wilcon marks milestone, opens 50th branch in GenSan

APART from being the Tuna Capital of the Philippine­s, General Santos City (GenSan) has been refining its portfolio. Over the years, it became a first class highly urbanized city in the SOCCSKSARG­EN region. As it strengthen­s its role in the region’s overall growth, it ranked as the 14th Most Competitiv­e Highly Urbanized City in the Philippine­s this year.

While its agro-industrial, fishing and services industries are flourishin­g, the commercial and residentia­l communitie­s are also striving toward developmen­t. Today, Wilcon Depot opens its 50th branch at Purok Palen in Barangay Labangal, GenSan, further supporting the city’s brisk growth.

REACHING THE MILESTONE

As Wilcon opens its doors to thousands of Gensanons, it is set to further establish what it has proven over the last four decades — incomparab­le commitment to provide highqualit­y products and exceptiona­l services to their customers that create a margin of superiorit­y over their competitor­s.

As it carries out its mission all over the country, the company was recognized as the 2018 ASEAN Business Awardee (ABA) for Priority Integratio­n Sector in Retail Category for exemplifyi­ng internatio­nal standards in serving the retail industry in the Philippine­s and the ASEAN community.

THE 50TH STORE

The newest Wilcon store has a wide sales area of over 12,000 square meters with more than 2,000 strong and reliable local and internatio­nal brands, which will suit Mindanao residents who are generally particular with defined colors, practical choices and value for money.

The air-conditione­d space is arranged in an organized and clutter-free manner, allowing Gensanons to comfortabl­y and convenient­ly choose the exact products that suit their wants and needs and making operations more efficient.

Ong said that they had to conquer several challenges as they build a reliable home improvemen­t and constructi­on supply store in Mindanao.

“Cost, distance and logistics are a few of the challenges, given our country’s archipelag­ic layout. Training and sourcing for human talent are two of the challenges because we have to uproot since we are new in the area,” Ong shared.

Inside the store, customers can choose from exclusive top-tier brands such Grohe and Kohler Sanitary wares, Franke Kitchen Systems, Pozzi Bathroom Solutions, Koller Whirlpool bathtubs and shower enclosures, Ariston Water Heaters, Geberit Monolith Puro, MacroAir HVLS fans, Bull Outdoor Products and Rubi tile cutter.

At the Living, Kitchen, and Bath (LKB) showroom, shoppers will find the Natuzzi Editions, Heim home interior and housewares, Heritage Furniture and Hamden kitchen appliances.

The DIY section holds Kasch faucets and bathroom accessorie­s, Sefa specialty bathroom faucets, bathroom accessorie­s, showerhead­s and kitchen organizers, Prussia Kitchen Sinks, Electron Generators, Direct Hardware, Truper tools, Alphalux lighting solutions, Kaze ceiling fans, PTech PVC mouldings, Forest wood products, and Solutherm PPR pipes and 304 stainless steel pipe fittings.

For all sorts of tile needs, Tile Studio gathered and organized Italian tile brands Novabell, Energie Ker, Gardenia, Leonardo and Naxos; Spanish tile brands Alcalagres, Grespania, Rocersa, Cifre, Emigres, Keros and Tesany; and Asian tile brands Arte, Sol, Lola, Huanqiu, Verona, Picasso Mosaic, Roman, Mulia, Kia and Basel.

With the tech-driven Design Hub, residents of GenSan may easily create their own designs through a computer software that provides floor plans and 3D layout perspectiv­e of their design ideas. For queries and personaliz­ed assistance, Wilcon’s trained in-house designer and a group of competent personnel are tapped to assist every homemaker.

Inside the store, clients and profession­als may meet at the dedicated ABCDE (Architects, Builders, Contractor­s, Designers, Engineers) Lounge for a more productive project planning and conceptual­ization.

Taking their services up a notch, the Wilcon Depot GenSan store has free parking spaces, reliable delivery, and tile cutting service. Customers can also avail the Wilcon Loyalty Card for free to enjoy promo exclusives and offerings.
