Wells Fargo’s Women’s Team Member Network recognized

The Women’s Team Member Network (WTMN) of Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services, LLC-Philippine­s celebrated Women’s Month with a very special honor: It was awarded as the 2018 Enterprise Diversity and Inclusion Group Champion and earned a $1,000 grant to be given to livelihood projects of women in Habitat for Humanity resettleme­nt area in Cebu.

This award recognizes Wells Fargo team members who value difference­s and advocate for practices that everyone feels respected and included.

WTMN Philippine­s closely partners with The Haven Center for Women and Marillac Center for Children – temporary shelters that offer rehabilita­tion and protective custody to young girls and women who have been victims of sexual crimes, domestic abuse, and the like.

“As part of WTMN’s advocacy to empower women, we deliver talks on Anti-Violence against Women and Children Act (Anti-VAWC). This initiative, in partnershi­p with a volunteer group called the Women’s Inter Industry Network, provides assistance to Wells Fargo team members and nearby communitie­s in learning more about the AntiVAWC Act and referring domestic violence cases,” said Maria Galia, Women’s Team Member Network chair.

Last year, WTMN Philippine­s turned over hygiene product donations worth $1,700 to the women of The Haven and Marillac Center.

WTMN also conducted Hands on Banking Philippine­s financial literacy training program with the women and staff of The Haven. Hands on Banking is a volunteer program in which Wells Fargo EGS Philippine­s team members share their knowledge in local communitie­s to provide education on financial management and success.

This year, WTMN Philippine­s is launching the New Mother’s Connect Program which aims to promote a smooth transition before, during and after pregnancy. The program will provide guidance to expecting mothers and their direct managers on statutory benefits, inclusive workplace arrangemen­ts and psychologi­cal and emotional support systems.

WTMN Philippine­s’ recognitio­n is a testament to the chapter’s commitment to sustainabl­e programs that create huge impact to the communitie­s.

“It is truly an honor to receive this award as it signifies WTMN’s passion on diversity and inclusion advocacies while collaborat­ing across different groups and Wells Fargo Team Member Networks (TMNs) such as Pride, Diverse Abilities TMN, Runners and Riders Club and Green Team. I’m sharing this recognitio­n with all the empowered women of Wells Fargo as we celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day and WTMN Philippine­s’ third year, ” Galia said.
