Wells Fargo’s Women’s Team Member Network recognized
The Women’s Team Member Network (WTMN) of Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services, LLC-Philippines celebrated Women’s Month with a very special honor: It was awarded as the 2018 Enterprise Diversity and Inclusion Group Champion and earned a $1,000 grant to be given to livelihood projects of women in Habitat for Humanity resettlement area in Cebu.
This award recognizes Wells Fargo team members who value differences and advocate for practices that everyone feels respected and included.
WTMN Philippines closely partners with The Haven Center for Women and Marillac Center for Children – temporary shelters that offer rehabilitation and protective custody to young girls and women who have been victims of sexual crimes, domestic abuse, and the like.
“As part of WTMN’s advocacy to empower women, we deliver talks on Anti-Violence against Women and Children Act (Anti-VAWC). This initiative, in partnership with a volunteer group called the Women’s Inter Industry Network, provides assistance to Wells Fargo team members and nearby communities in learning more about the AntiVAWC Act and referring domestic violence cases,” said Maria Galia, Women’s Team Member Network chair.
Last year, WTMN Philippines turned over hygiene product donations worth $1,700 to the women of The Haven and Marillac Center.

WTMN also conducted Hands on Banking Philippines financial literacy training program with the women and staff of The Haven. Hands on Banking is a volunteer program in which Wells Fargo EGS Philippines team members share their knowledge in local communities to provide education on financial management and success.
This year, WTMN Philippines is launching the New Mother’s Connect Program which aims to promote a smooth transition before, during and after pregnancy. The program will provide guidance to expecting mothers and their direct managers on statutory benefits, inclusive workplace arrangements and psychological and emotional support systems.
WTMN Philippines’ recognition is a testament to the chapter’s commitment to sustainable programs that create huge impact to the communities.
