HOROSCOPE

(March 25 Monday)

- By HOLIDAY MATHIS

Countdown to Venus Change Gratitude, as a practice, isn’t always a public display or a communication. Sometimes it’s more of an attitude or a way of taking things in. It doesn’t always feel appropriate to tell people how much you appreciate and like them. However, this is a good time to break the silence. Venus is getting ready to change signs. If not now, when?

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Young people have to learn to say “yes” in a world where everything is new and scary. Mature people have to learn to say “no” in a world that will use every last resource they have to give if they let it happen. TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You’re unique. As you work, those creative impulses you experience seem so natural that you assume anyone in your position would do the same thing. But that’s not the case. Understand and protect your originality.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). One style of leadership you’ll encounter is a superior’s tendency to ignore the junior’s ideas and concerns in hopes that such things will pass. They will. So will loyalty, contribution, engagement and more.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). One person who hears your message and listens well is better than a million people who hear it but don’t listen. This is why it’s so important to find a receptive audience.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). What you imagine you can do and what you can actually do won’t always match up. Sometimes you’re capable of much more, and other times far less. It will be a fun surprise how this shakes out. So keep trying.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Do you have enough? The determination will depend solely on what metric you use. If you measure in terms of material wealth, you will never have enough because there will always be someone with more.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The fact is that minds are not so fixed as you might think. People change their minds every minute. People even change their memories! Sometimes you can sense it’s better to take “no” for an answer. Not today. Ask again.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You’re constantly improving and updating your social skills and manners. These rules do change with the times, and you’re excellent at keeping up with them, usually intuitively, but right now the effort is conscious and deliberate.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Each person’s soul possesses a lockbox of yearning. The yearning cannot exactly be erased, but it can be aired out and refreshed when someone with the right key comes along to open it up, as will be the case with you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Maybe it’s too restrictive to see some emotions as bad and others as good. Of course, the bad ones hurt. But they also tell us when to change direction and hint to us about which way to go. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Sometimes extra is good, as in extraordinary. Sometimes it’s not, as in the colloquialism “she’s so extra.” It’s a day not to mute it just to fit in. Express your “extra” now, and assess it later. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Are people behaving in shallow and silly ways, or

are you just more curious, creative and complex than they are right now? Don’t waste time judging either state of mind. Go where you’re comfortable.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (March 25). Remember when you weren’t sure what you really needed to be happy? Well, this year is like the opposite of that. You get really good at predicting what’s going to work in your happiness recipe, and week after week, month after month, you put it together like a boss. You get plenty of help from a wide range of friends.

Virgo and Scorpio adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 2, 20, 49, 18 and 45. A WORD ABOUT THE VENUS CHANGE. Tomorrow Venus will leave the reasonable, friendly realm of Aquarius to do a deep dive into Pisces. Essentially, Venus puts on her Lady Gaga voice and sings, “We’re far from the shallows now.” Things are about to get more emotional across the board. This is in no way a bad thing, though to be able to use emotions well takes practice.

We often think of feelings as a kind of uncontrollable, sometimes unpleasant visiting weather. This makes life harder than it has to be, as it creates a story about the emotions befalling us and happening to us when actually emotions very much come from inside us. Emotions are information produced by the body to help us move toward our own health and wellbeing. So basically, emotions are data for our built-in navigational system

The hard part is that emotions speak one language (the language of the body and of the subconscious mind) and we speak in the language of words, stories and rationality. Therefore, misinterpretations will happen. In short, the language of feelings can be so hard to decode. But the first step, the one that will help during this Venus transit, is to recognize that feelings really are there to help, the caveat being that you have to feel them first.
