Games today (Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City) 4 p.m. – Generika-Ayala vs Cignal 6 p.m. – F2 Logistics vs Sta. Lucia

The other half of the playoff cast figure in the second set of quarterfinals matchups today with Generika-Ayala, Cignal, F2 Logistics and Sta. Lucia fighting it out for the last two slots in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference Final Four.

It’s fourth-ranked Generika-Ayala versus No. 5 Cignal at 4 p.m. then No. 2 F2 Logistics against No. 7 Sta. Lucia at 6 p.m. at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Top seed Petron and third ranked Foton have advanced to the semis with victories over Marinerang Pilipina and PLDT the other other day.

The Lifesavers and the HD Spikers face off for the right to play the Blaze Spikers in the semis.

Meanwhile, the winner between F2 and Sta. Lucia moves to the semis versus Foton.

The top two seeds enjoy win-once bonus in the semis starting Tuesday.

The Cargo Movers had been the tournament frontrunners until being overtaken by the Blaze Spikers towards the end of the elims.

Learning its lesson from that late stumble, coach Ramil De Jesus called on his wards to be more cautious and prudent this time especially against a lowly squad yet still dangerous Lady Realtors.

“We will not take them lightly. The most dangerous opponents are those with nothing-to-lose and everythingto-gain mentality,” said De Jesus on Sta. Lucia who bled for just two wins in 14 preliminary matches. “We will not look far ahead. The most important thing to do right now is to focus on what’s in front of us.”
