Astoria Group joins MICE bandwagon

-

As the country’s tourism stakeholders pin their hopes on the emergence of the Philippines as a favored destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and expo (MICE) events, The Astoria Group has joined the bandwagon as it unveiled two worldclass venues - Chardonnay by Astoria in Pasig City and Mangrove Conference and Convention Center in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Astoria Palawan’s Mangrove Conference and Convention Center is one of the latest and proudest additions to the resort’s modern facilities. This resort feature perfectly encapsulates the resort’s vision to be an ideal place for both work and play – which Astoria highlights as “workplays.”

Home to Astoria’s annual cause that empowers the Filipino spirit “Sikap Pinoy,” the conference area is a spacious 439-square meter space that houses two function rooms and can accommodate 200 guests. The main convention hall, on the other hand, has a maximum guest capacity of 450 persons.

Astoria Palawan offers exquisite amenities, including the grand pool, The Pod, which serves as the centerpiece of the resort, to its rejuvenating spa and fully-equipped gym. With interiors designed by the multi-awarded sisters, Ivy and Cynthia Almario of Atelier Almario, each room has a uniquely vibrant design with vividly colored and brilliantly patterned wallpaper and chic furniture. Aside from this, the restaurants and the eclectic ambiance of the common areas make the resort the perfect base for most Palawan adventures.

With opulent pendant chandeliers and a 28-square meter LED wall and the capacity to host between 70 to 500 people, Chardonnay by Astoria is centrally located along Capt. Henry Javier Street in the Ortigas central business district. This venue offers a distinctly elegant atmosphere that can be transformed to suit the theme of any event.
