Set to launch this month, Las Islas

Music Festival aims to reach out and bring Pinoy music and talents all over the country, one island at a time. The Philippine­s with more than 7,000 islands with each one of them having their own fiestas all year round will definitely have a new ally in bringing entertainm­ent and fun with Las

Islas Music Festival. The new music festival aims to support OPM artists, the OPM and the local artists in the islands by bringing them exciting live music experience.

Las Islas Music Festival first leg is a Visayas Islands tour happening on Oct. 25, 26 and 27 in Bacolod, Iloilo and Aklan, respective­ly. For the first tour of the islands, Las Islas Music Festival is featuring an exciting mix of OPM artists performing original hits and amazing covers.

Heading the list is Daryl Ong who recently just held a sold-out concert at the Resorts World Manila. A product of the reality competitio­n The Voice of the Philippine­s, Daryl is sure to bring with him the R&B groove he is most known to deliver on his TV outings and on his

YouTube channel. Joining the set of performers for this leg is World of Dance Philippine­s finalist Ken San Jose who has just released his new single Lose Control. Another performer for this leg is crossover artist Jade Riccio, an Aliw Awardee for Best Classical Performer who is set to release her first solo album this year, which promises to be a showcase of her elegant yet accessible artistry. Claudia Barretto is also joining this leg bringing her captivatin­g sultry voice and some of her original songs like Stay and Poison. A new Star Music contract band with a distinct sound also joining the festival is 1NEBAZE consisting of siblings Haidez, Sor, Joong and Baby G. Completing the list of performers are Sam Mangubat who is joining the Bacolod and Aklan shows; Bugoy Drilon in Iloilo show. Las Islas Music Festival is happening on the following dates and venues: Oct. 25, Bacolod Panaad Stadium; Oct. 26, Iloilo Barotac Nuevo Plaza; and Oct. 27, Aklan Sports Complex. All shows start at 6 p.m. Las Islas Music Festival aims to bring more Filipino artists across the islands and possibly with the inclusion of foreign artists who share the same love for music and musical artistry. 6SK Entertainm­ent, in collaborat­ion with the local government­s, made this event possible.
