‘Fly High Rizal High’ swing for a cause golf tourney

-

Since it was organized in 2015, the RHS Proud Rizalians (RHSPR) committed to give back to its alma mater, Rizal High School by providing financial assistance to all deserving student Rizalians who are sent off to compete locally and internationally. This advocacy has been carried out for years already in the objective to inspire more students to excel in their respective fields. However, sustaining the needs of the student achievers and other student organizations like uniform, send-off money, fare and the RHSPR itself is the greatest challenge that the officers must hurdle.

Hand in hand with support from members of RHSPR and other alumni, the key officers led by Cesar Reyes from Batch 74, Pacita Febre, Batch 76, Reymil Policarpio and Coun. Ferdinand Avis both from Batch 84 ensure to take the biggest leap in order to raise fund in behalf of the following student organizations whose members compete either in regional, national and international level:

Gymnastic’s Prime Competition, Singapore; China History; Science Competition (Malaysia); Rubik’s Cube Challenge; Tower of Hanoi Competition; Sudoku Challenge; Damath Challenge; Metrobank MTAP Math Challenge;2017 DepEd DRRM Mascot Design Making Contest; Palarong Pambansa 2017; Philippine Archery Cup-Leg 3; 4th Quarter National Simultaneous (NSED) Earthquake Drill; National Mascot Making Contest – Bureau of Fire Protection “Dance for Hope, Dance to Light”, a Black Light Competition; NCR Palaro; Population Quizbee and On-The-Spot Skills Competition; ASEAN Quizbee; On-The-Spot Painting Contest; National CanSat Competition; Philippine Nuclear Science Quiz; The Rizalian (DivisionNational); Elite Debate Society

Today at 5 a.m., a golf tournament dubbed as “Fly High Rizal High” is set to tee off and swing for a cause at the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club in Antipolo City. The event expects a huge number of golfers from different sectors such as businessmen, contractors, engineers, some retired generals like Gen. Ernesto Carolina of PVAO and of course the playing alumni. A showing of support from the following sponsors of hole and packages was just a big delight for the organizers as these augment the tournament’s requirements.

Major Sponsors: Grapteck, Inc., Ideal Marketing and Manufacturing Corporation, DMCI Holdings Incorporated

Minor Sponsors: Chevrolet Commonwealth, Datem, Pinnacle, DCPI, LSF Printing Services, Inc. & Cyber Arts & Prints, Jay C. Designs, Computer Graphics, Inc., Henry Tan, Deeco Paper Products, Inc., RHS Vintage ’74 & Goldwin Manufacturing Laboratories Corp., RHS Batch ’76, and RHS Batch ’84 c/o Coun. Ferdinand “Bing” Avis.

The “Fly High Rizal High” is the first ever golf tournament organized by the RHS Proud Rizalians but it promises an up-and-coming turnout as the event was conceived out of great concern and affection for the young achievers who in turn shall be the benefactors of goodwill and good deeds once they become alumni like the men behind the RHS PR organization. When our own light goes out, it is rekindled by a spark from another person, so to speak. Mabuhay, RHS Proud Rizalians!
