G2E Asia Expo debuts in Phl

As its local gaming industry continues to expand and cater to more diverse markets, the Philippine­s became the newest addition to the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia series of events.

G2E Asia will make its official debut in the country on Dec. 3 and 4, 2019 at the Manila Marriott Hotel. The two-day event, which is supported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor), will comprise of an expo, educationa­l conference and networking opportunit­ies.

During the G2E press launch Tuesday at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pagcor chairman and CEO Andrea Domingo said it is an honor for the Philippine­s to host a globally renowned event such as the G2E.

“Pagcor continues to pursue its vision of becoming the top gaming destinatio­n in this part of the world. Having events such as the G2E Asia reflects the region’s exciting and upward growth in gaming and entertainm­ent,” she said.

The Pagcor chief added that aside from the huge market in the Philippine­s for gaming equipment and services, the G2E Expo will serve as venue for the state-gaming agency to share its experience­s and policies on responsibl­e gaming, proper accountabi­lity, regulatory functions and casino operations.

Meanwhile, Josephine Lee, chief operating officer of Reed Exhibition­s Greater China – the G2E Asia 2019 event organizer – said that they are excited to expand the G2E Asia brand in the Philippine­s. “With this event, we are bringing new opportunit­ies for growth and innovation to the Associatio­n of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) emerging markets, including the Philippine­s, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, gaming-entertainm­ent industry,” she said.

Featuring nearly 100 exhibitors and sponsors, G2E Asia @ the Philippine­s will offer exhibitors an effective platform to grow brand awareness. The conference program will provide visitors an industry-exclusive education lineup featuring renowned leaders and influencer­s, centering around the themes of “ASEAN Market Perspectiv­es: Opportunit­ies and Threats” and “Beyond Gaming.”
