Himala sa Fatima docu on DZMM
DZMM anchor and resident counselor Bro. Jun Banaag tackles the Filipinos’ devotion to the Virgin Mary as he revisits the different sites of her apparitions in the special documentary Himala sa Fatima tomorrow, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m.
The documentary, which coincides with the 102nd anniversary of the Blessed Virgin’s last apparition, will air on DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 on AM radio, DZMM TeleRadyo on cable and ABS-CBN TVplus and online via iWant.
Bro. Jun joins a group of pilgrims to Fatima, Portugal where three shepherd children — Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia — witnessed six apparitions of the Holy Mother in 1917, changing their lives forever.
The Blessed Virgin spoke to them about the importance of penance, praying the Holy Rosary, and the belief in miracles, which they relayed to tens of thousands of people who surrounded them during these apparitions. The documentary reflects on the messages of the apparitions, its secrets and impact to the world, including the Philippines.
The nation traces its devotion to Mama Mary after the Spaniards arrived in our shores in the 16th century. To this day, many Filipinos continue to revere Mary and believe in the power of her intercession. Bro. Jun features two of them in the documentary, a woman who lost her husband and sister simultaneously, and a Marian devotee whose faith was tested when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Join Bro. Jun as he looks back at who Mary is to the Filipino faithful and her role as the mother of Jesus in the special DZMM documentary Himala sa Fatima.
There will be replays on Oct. 15, 16 and 17, at 11 p.m. on the Dr. Love Radio Show timeslot and on Oct. 25, 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
