SEAG athletes rule DSCPI National

Southeast Asian Games athletes Sean Mischa Aranar and Ana Leonila Nualla dominated the 23rd Dance Sports Council of the Philippine­s Inc. (DSCPI) National Championsh­ips and Breaking competitio­n recently at the Ballroom Hall of Valle Verde Country Club in Pasig City.

Aranar and Nualla bested first runner-up Tristan John Ducay and Aileen Patrice De Lara and second placer Mark Jayson Gayon and Mary Joy Renigen to bag the Grade A Standard title of the tourney organized by DSCPI President Becky Garcia.

Michael Angelo Marquez and third placer Stephanie Sabalo, who also qualified for this year’s SEA Games, outclassed first runner-up Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Marie Cañeda and second runner-up Elmar Dizon and Rachael Sun to take home the Grade A Latin title.

The competitio­n was supported by the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., Flawless, Dance Results Philippine­s, Like-FM 105.9, Studio AK, Muebles Italiano and The Greenery Bulacan.

Other winners in the competitio­n were Randolf Jay Bagalawis (breakdanci­ng boys class), Darielle Jade Napadao (breakdanci­ng girls), Alfredo Suarez and Marilou Nuñez (Grade B Standard), Ferdinand San Felix and Diamond Sultan (Grade B Latin), Edgar Joseph Ramones and Ellie Shaira Ramones (Grade C Standard), Ben James Ramos and Jhanniz Sergia Panganiban (Grade C Latin), Roger Bauya and Israela Jerosa Aliermo (Grade D Standard) and Jerwin Rey Alcoseba and Jade Mae Desono (Grade D Latin).

The Dance Sports competitio­n in the 30th SEA Games to be hosted by the country will be held Dec. 1 at the Royce Hotel in Clark, Pampanga before the 2020 DSCPI 1st Quarter Ranking set on March 14, 2020.
