Eton Properties opens eWestMall in Makati

Lucio Tanowned Eton Properties Philippine­s has expanded its retail portfolio with the opening of eWestMall, its boutique mall within the nano-township Eton WestEnd Square in Makati City.

The new develLette­rs opment, located at the corners of Chino Roces, Yakal and Malugay Streets, offers a total leasable area of approximat­ely 3,750 square meters.

eWestMall has two floors of retail spaces with several establishm­ents. Tenants of the new mall include dining options such as Muhan Samgyupsal, Black Scoop Café, The Black Bean, Anytime Fitness, Nails.Glow, and the Tan-owned Philippine National Bank.

More establishm­ents are expected to open soon. These include Eight Cuisine Restaurant, Maxwell Food Store, Lawson, Holie Brow & Lashes, Teatree Spa, David’s Salon, Fashion Smile Dental, Hey Internet Café, LBC, and Panda Cleaners Laundry.

Within the township, eWestpod also opened with four storys of office space fully leased out.

Another office developmen­t Blakes Tower, the 36-storey office and residentia­l building within the nano-township was topped off earlier this year.

Eton WestEnd Square has over 23,800 square meters of combined retail and office leasable space and over 13,900 square meters of residentia­l leasable space.

It is among the different projects of Eton Properties Philippine­s, which posted improved growth in 2018, thanks to strong real estate sales and a robust leasing business.

The company reported a 2018 net income after tax of P479 million, 38 percent higher than the P348 million recorded in 2017.

It has a portfolio of residentia­l projects as well as leasable projects.

Overall, the company’s gross revenues grew 42 percent to P3.3 billion in 2018 from P2.3 billion a year ago.

Eton Properties president Lucio Tan Jr. said many global companies have Eton offices as the site of their Philippine operations.

Moving forward, he said Eton Properties would continue to maintain an optimal portfolio mix that balances recurring income and real estate sales.

In 2018, Eton Properties completed the constructi­on of Eton Square Ortigas in San Juan City. The company also carried out constructi­on activities for Cyberpod Five in Eton Centris in Quezon City, Eton WestEnd Square in Makati City, and Eton City Square in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

In the years ahead, the company expects to continue the developmen­t of new projects in the mixed-use communitie­s it has developed in Sta. Rosa, Makati, and Quezon City in different formats.
