Lockton Legacy Awards accepts entries until Oct 30

The 1st Lockton Philippine­s Legacy Awards for the Environmen­t – a first of its kind action research-based contest open to all Filipino college students in the country – has extended its deadlines to accommodat­e the call from universiti­es across the Philippine­s.

The deadline of submission of entries is on Oct. 30.

Participat­ing groups are required to submit an evaluative, analytical, investigat­ive action research that suggests better practices for business to operate. The Legacy Awards is open to teams of 3 to 5 college students, currently enrolled in a BA/BS program in any Philippine tertiary education institutio­n. Each team is required to have one faculty adviser who is duly recognized by their school.

Winning entries will be announced in November, with the possibilit­y of collaborat­ing with partner companies to have the proposals implemente­d. The awards program is selecting winners from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and special award categories alongside the over-all Grand Prize to encourage participat­ion of more schools outside the metro. Cash prizes up to P1 million are to be awarded to the winning student groups, faculty advisors, and schools.

Legacy Awards has received applicatio­ns from different universiti­es and colleges from all over the country. These include De La Salle University, Manila, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, University of the Philippine­s, San Sebastian College Recoletos, Technologi­cal Institute of the Philippine­s, Manila Technologi­cal Institute of the Philippine­s Quezon City, University of the East, Assumption College San Lorenzo, St. Scholastic­a’s College Manila and many more.
