Lotus Coffee corner at SM Snack Exchange
SM Makati customers enjoyed Belgian Lotus Biscoff biscuits paired with a freshly brewed cup of coffee as SM Snack Exchange brought them the Lotus Coffee Corner at SM Makati recently.
The Lotus Coffee Corner was a pop-up coffee shop where shoppers could sit back, relax, and enjoy a perfect coffee moment with Lotus after a long day of shopping. Customers picked the coffee of their choice: Americano, Cappuccino or Latte, and enjoyed the incredibly sweet and crunchy taste of Lotus biscuits — all for free.
They also had a chance to bring the experience home with the exclusive and limited-edition Lotus coffee cup, which was available for every P300 single-receipt purchase of Lotus products.
Founded by the Boone brothers in 1932 in a small town called Lembeke in Belgium, Lotus Biscoff is a sweet biscuit known for its unique caramel taste and crunchy texture. Its distinct flavor, derived during the caramelization stage of its baking process, makes the biscuit perfect for every cup of coffee, hence the term “Biscoff,” which combines the words “biscuit” and “coffee.”
Lotus introduced this coffee-pairing ritual in the 1950s, which had an enormous influence on the hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops throughout Belgium and Europe and eventually earned the Biscoff the title “Europe’s favorite cookie.”
Aside from its famous biscuit, Lotus also has another irresistible treat: the Lotus Biscoff Spread. This famous European spread has the delicious taste of Lotus Biscoff biscuits and comes in two variants: Smooth has a flat and creamy texture, while crunchy has loads of Lotus biscuit bits, making it an instant dessert treat.
Shoppers enjoyed the sweet treats and the café-inspired ambiance of the Lotus Coffee Corner by SM Snack Exchange for the month of October.
